Appointments are required, and can be made by ringing the clinic on 9842 2555, online with HotDocs, or in person at the clinic with reception. A standard consultation is 15 minutes, you will need to book a longer appointment if required.
Some doctors will require a longer appointment (30 mins) for the following; Multiple health issues, Surgical Procedures, Pap smears, Travel Advice, Some care plans, Health Checks
If you are unsure of how long your appointment should be, please ring the clinic on 9842 2555 and a receptionist will be able to help you.
A reminder text will be sent out the day before an appointment, unless no mobile number is recorded in which case a receptionist will ring to confirm.

The Doctors of this Clinic strive to provide the best possible care. Although we try to book appointments accordingly, some situations and problems are unprecedented, causing occasional wait times. If we are running late we ask your understanding, in the knowledge that you too will receive the same personal and careful attention. If you feel that you may require longer than the standard 15 minute consultation, then you are welcome to book a longer time.
At Verve Family Doctors, our receptionist team will ring patients to arrange an appointment for any results marked for urgent review.
For non-urgent results, patients will receive an SMS to book an appointment. Patients are encouraged to book in follow up appointments to discuss results with their doctor ahead of time. If needed, you can ring the clinic to check if the results have been received.
A receptionist can tell you whether you need an urgent appointment, a non-urgent appointment or whether the doctor marked all results as normal and does not require a review appointment.
Please remember that for any further questions or discussions you need to make a review appointment with your doctor.
Legally, if a child is 16 years or older, details of their results cannot be disclosed to the parent without the patient’s consent, which needs to be recorded in the clinical notes.

Melbourne Pathology provides convenient onsite pathology at Verve Family Doctors.
Pathology Collection Availability:
8.00 am – 4.30 pm Monday to Friday
8.30 am – 11.30 am Saturday
Please note they are closed from 12:30pm – 1:30pm each day for lunch. Bookings are not required.
Most services are bulk-billed to our patients holding Medicare cards. There may be a fee for some specialised tests not covered by Medicare.

The Doctors at Verve Family Doctors request that you make an appointment when repeat prescriptions and referrals are required. We actively discourage repeat prescriptions and referrals without an appointment. We believe that repeat medication requires at least a brief appointment to review the ongoing need for the medication and its appropriateness to your current medical condition.
Where you require a script for ongoing medication and/or ongoing referral please request a short appointment with any doctor.
