Ram grew up in New Zealand and graduated from University of Otago with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2016. He moved to Australia in 2019 and became a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2022. He enjoys the full scope of General Practice and is particularly interested in Paediatrics, Mental Health, Dermatology and Emergency Medicine. In his personal time, he enjoys being his young and growing family. He consults on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Fees charged by Dr Ram Lukka
Dr Lukka’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Aged Pensioners will be bulk billed. Other concession and Health Care Card holders will be charged a substantially discounted fee.
Patients who hold a DVA card are billed according to DVA Guidelines (see https://www.dva.gov.au/access-benefits/veteran-card). Visits by Gold card holders are almost always billed to DVA, while visits by White card holders can only be billed to DVA for eligible conditions.

Telehealth: consultations are charged at the same rate as face-to-face appointments (see fees above).
Missed Appointment fee: Dr Lukka may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least four hours’ notice.

Full payment is charged at the time of the visit, leaving the following out-of-pocket GAP after Medicare reimbursement of the relevant item numbers.

Travel consults
Travel to Africa and South America is booked as 30 minutes, while other destinations are booked as 15 minute appointments. This appointment must be booked through reception as a booking with the nurse is also required . All travel consultations attract the standard out of pocket GAP amount. Appointments (after Medicare rebates) are shown in the table above.
Iron Infusion
An Initial 15 minute appointment would be required to organise the iron infusion. Once completed an hour appointment is required to be booked with the nurse through reception.
Skin Checks
Dr Lukka does skin checks for spots only, a 15 minute consultation is required. Standard consult fees apply. Aged pensioners will be bulk billed. Fees for procedures and excisions will be dependant on complexity and will be discussed if required.
