Nivae is interested in the variety of General Practice but has a specific interest in geriatrics, palliative care and addiction medicine. Nivae is also conversant in Tamil and has a growing passion for refugee health and well-being.
Dr Nivae Anandaganeshan graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Medicine (MD). He has worked rurally in Northeast Health Wangaratta before returning to work at Monash Health gaining experience in women’s health, geriatrics, and general medicine amongst other specialties.
Nivae enjoys spending time with his young family, watching and playing sport and riding his road-bike up and down the Eastlink Trail.
Nivae joined Verve Family Doctors in 2021 as a GP registrar and is returning to us in 2023.

Fees charged by Dr Nivae Andanaganeshan
Dr Andanaganeshan’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Aged Pensioners will be bulk billed. Other concession and Health Care Card holders will be charged a substantially discounted fee.
Patients who hold a DVA card are billed according to DVA Guidelines (see https://www.dva.gov.au/access-benefits/veteran-card). Visits by Gold card holders are almost always billed to DVA, while visits by White card holders can only be billed to DVA for eligible conditions.

Telehealth: consultations are charged at the same rate as face-to-face appointments (see fees above).
Missed Appointment fee: Dr Andanaganeshan may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least four hours’ notice.

Travel consults
Dr Andanaganeshan only does travel appointment for his own patients. Travel appointments require a 15 minute consultation. This appointment must be booked through reception as a booking with the nurse is also required All travel consultations attract the standard out of pocket GAP amount. Appointments (after Medicare rebates) are shown in the table above.
