Diya has special interests in Women’s health, Mental health, Preventative health, and Family medicine. She also enjoys performing minor skin procedures.
Diya graduated from Deakin University in 2017 and trained across a range of specialties at Geelong Hospital, including Paediatrics, Mental Health, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
In her current role at Verve, Diya sees patients from all walks of life and is passionate about providing holistic, preventative care. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and getting to know them over time. She has a particular focus on chronic health conditions, women’s health, mental health, and paediatrics. Please note that Diya does not perform skin checks or skin procedures.
Diya is conversant in Hindi and Malayalam and welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of work, she is a proud mum to a young child and enjoys swimming and travelling.
Fees charged by Dr Diya Soman
Dr Soman’s fees are guided by the AMA recommended rates. Aged Pensioners will be bulk billed. Other concession and Health Care Card holders will be charged a substantially discounted fee.
Patients who hold a DVA card are billed according to DVA Guidelines (see https://www.dva.gov.au/access-benefits/veteran-card). Visits by Gold card holders are almost always billed to DVA, while visits by White card holders can only be billed to DVA for eligible conditions.

Telehealth: consultations are charged at the same rate as face-to-face appointments (see fees above).
Missed Appointment fee: Dr Soman may charge a fee if you miss your appointment, and do not cancel with at least four hours’ notice.

Travel consults
Travel to Africa and South America is booked as 30 minutes, while other destinations are booked as 15 minute appointments. This appointment must be booked through reception as a booking with the nurse is also required . All travel consultations attract the standard out of pocket GAP amount.
